Purchases ~ Max&More Two Coloured Caviar Set for €1,29 : Hit or Miss? (Action)

'Action is famous because of his cheap things, and also known as a Dutch shop where you need to be lucky: It's a hit of a miss sometimes. This time I spotted Two Coloured Caviar sets from Max&More for only €1,29. Question is: Hit or miss? Let's find out.'

'You can choose from different colour combinations. My choice is a minty/ aqua/ emerald cream - purple metal/ shimmery combination. Besides the mini polishes (7ml bottles) you get also two mini pots with caviar in matching colours. As you can tell from the swatches, the polishes have an great stainpower, they covered the nails in one coat. The polish also stick the grains well, but I'm not sure if the caviar beads want to stay on for long. I think it's not handy to wear the caviar while you do the dishes.'

'Then the answer: Hit or miss? Personally I'm not a big fan of these grains on my nails, cause I think it's not handy in my regular life. Maybe for a special occasion I want to wear the caviar too, but at this point I only want to wear the nailpolish, cause of the color pay off. I think this products is something between a hit and a miss. It's not that horrible, but not a everyday item.'

Reviews ~ Max Make Up Mono Eyeshadow and Zebra Print Nail Files (Action)

'Past week I was a lot at my local Dutch Action, cause we needed wall paint and other task items for our new house. I also picked up some €0,49 Nail Files with zebra print, cause my nails are really bad through the stripping powder. I really hate to strip off old wallpaper... but the fifty cent Nail Files are working. I tried one all ready, and I must say, it does the job. Better then their buffing blocks... Action sell more girly prints. For example you can also buy their leopard print nail files. It all depends on your personal taste.'

'I also picked an Max Make Up Mono Eyeshadow for only €0,59. This is the fail of the week, and I don't want to recommend you to buy this. At least not this color. 
These Mono Eyeshadows doesn't have names or numbers, but I picked the purple with an blue undertone. The color looks really gorgeous in the pan, but after the swatch it disappointed me. There's barely pigmentation, especially when I made a swatch on my hand. Hopefully this bad boy does work with an good (white) eyeshadow base. 
I read on another blog about these shadows, and according to the girl who wrote the article these shadows "are very pigmented". She had the more neutral and brown tones, and I figure for some reason, cheap brands like Max always have great neutrals and browns, but the bright colors aren't not so poppy on the lids. They also have an beautiful in the pan looking turquoise, but mi-auww, I don't want to purchase more of these mono's. And I do have enough neutrals and browns, so for those colors I don't need to buy more. We shall see, mostly my curiosity wins.'

Purchases ~ January Randomness: Shopping at Action and Etos

'Time to share with you a few random things I bought in January. I went out to Dutch cheap store Action, but I had also to pay Dutch drugstore Etos.'

'My first stop this month was at the Dutch Action. Reason for me to go was because of their ridiculous low priced BB Cream for only €1,50. I also came across Inecto Pure Coconut Lipbalms for only €0,98 a piece. I love Inecto products. I almost tried their whole beauty range, except for their lipbalms, so I had to have these.'

'Okay, let's take a closer look at the BB Cream. The amount of product is 25g, and the color I picked is Light. You can also buy this in Medium or Dark. I think Light match my skin tone the best.'

Max BB Cream Skin Protection 3-in-1 Cream ~ "Max BB (Blemish Balm) cream is a combination of a moisturizer and a foundation. It mattifies,  hydrates, smoothens pores and imperfections and protect against the sun."

'I'm going to review this product soon.'

'Then the Inecto Pure Coconut Lipbalms. After getting rid of the blisters, I sniffed one of them, and I must say that these smell really nice.'

Inecto Pure Coconut Lipbalm ~ "Contains 100% pure coconut oil to moisturise dry lips, leaving them soft and hydrated."

'Like you maybe noticed, I use lipbalm like crazy. I finish at least one a month, so this should be a nice add to my lipbalm collection. Especially because I'm running out fast of lipbalms. I want to review them soon as possible.'

'I also picked up a Max Nails Nailpolish in Apple Green. It was €0,49, the cheapest nailpolish I ever known. The day after taking these swatch pics, it started to chip. I only used one coat here, so it turned out that bad. It only doesn't stay on that long. Better use an good topcoat over it, along with two coats in stead of only one. Excuse me my cuticles here. My nerves have a hard time, because there's an Journalism exam around the corner...'

'My next stop was Dutch drugstore Etos. I ran out of nailpolish remover, and because Etos have a remover with acetone which doesn't leaves white rims around my cuticles, I had to go there. It was only €1. I prefer acetone remover, cause a remover without is not getting my glitterpolishes off that easy. With acetone you're in one whipe done.'

Purchases ~ A Few Things

'Time to share a few other things I recently picked up. Not that those things are that special, but still I want to share it, so here we go.'

'First thing I discovered was this flavor by Arizona Icetea. The flavor is Blueberry Whitetea, and my local Albert Heijn have this Arizona flavor for not so long. They had allready a few other flavors, <click here for my post about Arizona> wich they still got, but this flavor is pretty new. It was only €0,99, and I love it.'

'Next I went to the Action, and finally they stocked their Max Eyeshadow Trio's so I picked up the Jasmine one, along a package of two Max Lipbalms. The Eyeshadow Trio was €0,75 and I think this product is good for the price. The Lipbalms I picked up where only €0,79 for a package. Let's see how these work.'

Projects ~ A Flowery Comparison With LA Colors 3 Colour Palettes (CherryCulture) And Max Eyeshadow Trio's (Action)

'Yesterday I had an purchase post where I mentioned a Max Eyeshadow Trio wich you can buy in Holland at the Action. Now, I was keep thinking and I came to the next discovery. These Max Eyeshadow Trio's doesn't look at all like the NYX trio's, but they do look like the LA Colors 3 Colour Palettes. So I went back to the Action today, and buy a few more for only €0,75.' 

'Because I don't own any LA Colors 3 Colour Palettes, I googled to the Cherry Culture site, and it seems I am right: LA Colors 3 Colour Palettes are almost the same as the Dutch Max Eyeshadow Trio's. The pans are looking the same, and even a couple of colors have the same name...'

'First a couple of pics from my newest Max Eyeshadow Trio's with some swatches. As you can see, Lotus, Sunflower and Passion Flower are the same as the palettes from LA Colors. Action sells also the black palette as Black Rose instead of Lily, while the Lily color from Max is called at LA Colors Magnolia. Same with Forget-Me-Not from LA Colors, Max called that one Jasmine if I'm not mistaken (The Jasmine one is added to my wishlist, because our Action was running low on these palettes allready. I couldn't find it anyway, else I had picked it up today).'

'Next screenshot proves that the pans and the color range is the same like LA Colors 3 Colour Palettes. Sunflower, Passion Flower and Lotus are the same. I didn't found Peony, Waterlily, Marigold, Dandelion, Iris or a look- a- like of them. The Max Orchid has another colorrange, that palette contains a white, a gold and a pink instead the neutrals you get from LA Colors.'
