Reviews ~ Finished Products March/ April 2013

'Time for my finished products on this day of Throne Change here in Holland. Queen Beatrix is retired, and her son Willem Alexander will take the scepter together with his wife Maxima. So, typing this today, and then we'll see what I'm doing. Maybe I go to town, grabbing some things, if the stores are open, you never know. ^_^ Anyway.
Like you maybe noticed, I didn't had time to post my Finished Products of March, cause I was moving that month. It's time to squeeze March and April together, so here are a few items I finished during those two months.'

'I finished two tubes from Yves Rocher.  First one is a Pomegranate Mask, which I got for free. The other one was a footscrub. I paid for the footscrub €2,95, catalogue price is around 5. The mask made my skin itch a bit, so I'm not going to purchase it myself. The footscrub is okay. Only thing, it's way too easily gone. So if you have heavy callous on your feet, this might not work.'

'Then a few lippies. First we have a Yves Rocher Cream Lipstick in Rose, a limited edition. I backed up on this one, cause it is a perfect nude lipstick to me. Catalogue price was €14,95, but I paid 7,95, still a bit pricey for Yves Rocher, but I like their cream lipsticks.
The other lipstick is an old color by Catrice. Back in the day Catrice called their lipsticks Absolute Moisture, and I finished Noisette Coctail this month. I'm not sure what I paid for this, but it shouldn't be more then €3.
Last lippie is an Inecto Coconut Lipbalm, which I grabbed at the Action for €0,98. It was okay, but not for the wintertime, cause the consistency might be a little thin.'

'I also finished a few eye products. The first one is this Scandal Eyes Mascara in the pink tube. I got this for free on Facebook, but I don't like it at all. You easily touch your eyes with the little pellet on top of the brush, so I don't see the point of that thinghy. Normally this will cost around €10-15, but I think it isn't worth it. Therefore, the package will fade during using it. For a expensive mascara, at least you may expect that the package will keep intact, right? I did a actual post about the mascara <here>.
The other thing came out of a set by Catrice. It's an mini eyepencil, and it came from the Big City Life Limited Edition Palettes. I did a post about it <here>.'

'Lastly I finished two samples by Nivea. I liked these shampoo and conditioner in their Hydro Care line. I also finished two files. The first one I won in a giveaway, and the zebra one came in a set of 5 at the Action for €0,49, see <here>. The zebra ones work okay, but they don't last that long.'

Projects ~ It's All I Can Blue Eyes For Autism Awareness Month

'We're staying in the style of the Autism Awareness Month, cause I did these blue eyes recently. I wanted to match my eyes with my nails <here>. So I pulled out a few eyeshadows, put on some BB cream again (what I barely did the past two months) and flied through my lipglosses. And here is the result for blue eyes.'

'I used my T-Mart Palette for the blue and a few browns. With an smaller brush I drawn a darker blue under my eyes which is from a palette by Max. (available at the Dutch Action) Some NYX Jumbo Pencil in Black Bean for my waterlines, and a soft touch of Essence Stay With Me Lipgloss in My Favorite Milkshake, a smooth peachy/ apricot color.'
It's the most right color ^_^

Collections ~ Show Me Your Blues! Tag For April's Autism Awareness Month

'A few days back, I posted a video for April's Autism Awareness Month. If you read GlitterKitty's Bio, you noticed that I'm lightly diagnosed Pervasive Developmental Disorder Not Otherwise Specified (PDDnos), so I had to do this Show Me Your Blues! Tag.'

'Watch the video with al mentioned blue nailpolishes <here>. If you like posts like this, I can do more Show Me Your {color}! posts. Off course I will include more pics of the bottles I have in that specific color. For this post I only added one, cause for some reason, the other pics I included into the vid, are disappeared from my hard disk.'

Projects ~ Blue, With Purple Glitterzzz

'I though it would be fun to do my nails again. Cause during the move, I didn't paint my nails that often. Time to do something springy, and a little spiced up.'

'I choose a milky blue color by Saffron, it's #54, with on top an glittery purple polish by Wynie in #R114. It looks so pretty. In real life these purple glitter stands out more, they don't shine that much here. I choose to use only one coat of the glitter, cause to me, removing glitter is a real pain in the paws...'

Purchases ~ Cien Make Up : Lipstick in #11 Purple Dream (Grocerystore Lidl)

'When I was at my local grocerystore Lidl, I came across an display full of Cien Make Up. Everything was only €1,99, and you had to choose from nailpolish, lipstick, lipgloss, mascara and foundation. Now I know that such things are only a short time available, and mostly you need to keep in mind that when it's gone, they don't restock. So it was a quik decision for me. I saw this display, and the next day I picked up a lipstick in #11 Purple Dream. You can say it was a non planned, impulsive idea to pick this up. Here are my thoughts about this Cien Lipstick.'
The advertisement says these lipsticks are €2,49... I really paid only 1,99 in my local Lidl.

'First the package, which reminds me of the NYX Matte Lipsticks. I don't own any of these NYX Matte Lipsticks, but you can see for yourself.'

'Purple Dream is an red based berry color. I love such colors, and I always pick up a color like this when I try a new brand for lipsticks. The scent is indescribable. It isn't scented like vanilla, but it has more a candy- ish, sweet scent to me, but it isn't a fruity scent either. If you're picky on the scent, I think this isn't for you, but so far it didn't annoy me.The swatch on my hand tells me that this is an sheer coverage, but the formula is build able on my lips.'

'Now the application. The lipstick feels really soft and smooth on my lips, but I have a feeling that this lipstick isn't a long lasting one. As you can tell from the pics, this lipstick could be bleeding, running out. Maybe if I put some concealer or foundation underneath, it will last longer, but why so much effort for a lipstick which only last one hour anyway? Maybe it's only this shade, I don't know. I don't recommend you to buy loads of these lipsticks in the first place. If you're on a budget, and you want to try out some colors, without spending too much it's oke.
There's one thing what really annoys me: There's no indication on the package of how much product you get for your €1,99, only that it's 12 months tenable, and that you have to deal with an quality product of Germany. I really wonder why they don't give you the amount of the product... Anyway. Maybe I try one of their pinks later on, but I don't think so. Better save me some money for other things...'

Purchases ~ Almost Free Books From Preston&Child

'Because of doing questionnaires for a Dutch research company, I got a few coupons which I could use on bol.com, a Dutch webshop for books, cd's, dvd's and since an very short time also beauty related items.
I saved for €19 coupons in total. The first order was free, the second order was €0,94. I better had to combine my order, but the last €8 coupon didn't came earlier, and I thought they did forget to send it to me. So I basicly throw €1,99 shipping away. Still, I don't have to complain. 0,94 isn't that bad for a couple of books, if you devise that normally one pocket like these two is 7,95 a piece. Anyway. I can't wait to read these babies.'

WishLists ~ SJM's Birthday Wishes 2013

'My birthday is around the corner, so I want to share with you a few wishes I have. This list is to give you guys and girls an idea of what I wish. And for my loyal readers is this an idea for if you are in Holland once in a while. Cause some things you can't probably buy in your own country.'

'I know I know. I do have an seperated wishlist for the newest Catrice Ultimate Laquers <here>, but I had to share a few colors I really like. Since I'm on a nailpolish diet, it's better not to ask only Catrice Nailpolishes, right? So I limited myself to a few. Only a few. They are sold in Holland at Dutch drugstores Kruidvat and Trekpleister for 2,99 each.'

'You can also give me money, so I can build my own Nailpolish Rack. As you can tell, I have a little overflow of nailpolishes, as you maybe noticed <here>. So, I want a nailpolish rack, like these examples:'
