Reviews ~ Finished Products November & December 2014

'Past two months flown by like crazy. In november I didn't had any time to post a few things, and this month, well, let's say I forgot for the most part. But in the new year, I promise, I try to post at least my purchases again. Now, for the products I used up during November and December, let's jump into it.'

'First thing I finished was my 1 Nailpolish Remover from Dutch Drugstore Etos. I buy this remover always, cause it's very good for the price. It doesn't mark your cuticles with an annoying withe rim, like most cheap removers do. It removes my polishes smoothly, even the glitters.
Next is a Hema Face Cleansing Mousse. It was 2,75, and I don't want to repurchase this, because I'm not so fond on the scent. And the mousse dried out my T-zone, so no go for me.
Then a shampoo from Palmolive. Paid 1 for it at my grocerystore, and I like it. It washed away all the greasyness in my hair.
Last item from this pic, is my Aquafresh Whitening Toothpaste, wich I got ages ago for free. I love this toothpaste, but I'm not sure it really whitens my teeth...'

'Used up this 0,99 Sally Hansen Salon Pro Manicure clear polish in Ready For Take Off. Used it mostly as a basecoat, worked fine against yellow, blue and green stains. Bought it a while back at Dutch Store Action, so far I bought already a back up and after that, I didn't see it in my Action anymore, so I have no idea of repurchasing it.
Next two lipsticks. One Limited Edition from Yves Rocher, wich isn't available anymore. Can't remember the price. The other lipstick is from the Hema, and I hated the taste of it, so I'm not repurchasing it. Liked the color. It was 2,99 or so.
And lastly a sample by Yves Rocher. Not sure I liked it.'

'That's it... if I don't talk to you anymore this year, I want to wish you a wonderfull 2015. See you next year!'

'I also try to work away the huge pile of unposted posts here. I planned to do it earlier, but clearly I failed. So you guys owe me a few, wich should be done somewhere in 2015, lol.'

'Now it's Christmas, and I want to wish al my readers a very, merry Christmas! I hope everyone had an good year, and hopefully 2015 should be better.'

Reviews ~ Finished Products October 2014

'Happy Halloween! Today I share the things I finished up this month. Let's take a look.'

'First two items. My OPI Puerto Vallarta Violeta did act goopy and thick on my nails the last time I'd used it this month. I bought it years ago, and it's probably time to go. Not sure what I paid for it.
The other item is an Palmolive showercream in Almond. I paid only 1 for it at my local grocerystore. I love the Palmolive showercreams.'

'Yes, you see it well. It was lippy month for me. The first 3 items I got, again, years ago in a surprise box from Ebay, so I don't know what the normal retail prices are. I loved my CO Bigalow Root Beer Lipbalm, and I'm sad that it needs to go. It's totally empty.
Then two Bonnebell lippies from the same box. I believe it's from the same range. Not sure if this is still available, but I loved the gloss version of it. The balm not so much.
Last lippy I finished this month is an Limited Edition Cream Lipstick by Yves Rocher. It was the color Tommette, and I didn't like it that much on my skintone, so I mixed it with other lipsticks. I can't remember what I exactly paid for it, but hey, it isn't available anymore anyway.'

'That's it. Take care everybody. Have a safe Halloween.'

Purchases ~ Kruidvat 1+1 Free Sales : NYC In A Minute Lavender Blossom and Parma Violet

'During the same 1+1 Sale at the Dutch Kruidvat in september, I picked also up a few NYC In A Minute Nailpolishes. Not everyone loves the In A Minute Polishes, but I don't have a lot of trouble with them. NYC In A Minute Polishes are 2,49 each, so this was good. Here are the colors I picked up.'

'Here's one coat of Lavender Blossom. It's your typically lilac/ lavender color. I picked this up, because I needed a quik dry lilac color. As you can tell, the color should be better with two coats, but in real life, the shine through isn't that noticeable. Hey, it's quik dry, so for that second coat is plenty of time too.'

'And here's one coat of Parma Violet. It's an purple with red undertones, and perfect for Fall. I don't need more purples at this point, but an quik dry one is always welcome. ^_^ You can get away with one coat. In real life, the streakyness isn't that noticeable, but for being sure, it's better to use two. For the quikness, it isn't that hard to do two.'

'Overall I love the NYC In A Minute Ones for if you're in need for an quik manicure. I'm a bit bummed, cause they discontinued Sidewalkers here. That's my favorite grey color, wich I used allready to dead. I'm glad I got Sidewalker's look-a-like Prey Of Grey too, but that one was a Limited Edition, so defenately not available anymore. Oh well. These two makes it right.'

DIY ~ Keep Track With Your Worn Nailpolishes

'I started this month with an Worn Nailpolishes Journal. This way I try to keep track on wich polishes I really wear, so I can do my future cleanouts more easy. Less worn polishes should be given away or end up in the garbage, if the polish is too bad. This way, I can also see on the icons if the polish is really being loved or not so much. The more I wear a polish, the less I have the need to clean that one out. (until I hit pan on it or it dries out by itself)  Besides that, I keep an eye out for repurchasing the really loved ones.'

'Here a peak for what my journal looks like so far. Between the lines, I spelled "oktober" in Dutch, so don't tell me if I didn't spell it correctly or not. As you can tell, I love Fig and Sidewalkers very much. Greige! The New Beige I didn't like that much. But opinions can change. Offcourse, this concept isn't finished yet.'

Purchases ~ Kruidvat 1+1 Free Sales : Sinful Colors

'During another 1+1 Sale at the Dutch Kruidvat in september, I decided to pick up a few Sinful Colors Nailpolishes. Not every Kruidvat carries this brand, I noticed, so I recommend my Dutch readers to search in their biggest, local Kruidvat. Sinful Colors Polishes are 1,99 each, so this was a steal. Here are the colors I picked up.'
From left to right: Fig, Island Coral, Glass Pink, and Easy Going
From left to right: Love Nails, Hottie, Savage, and Be Happy

'Offcourse I swatched the colors. Most of them needed two coats, and sometimes the brush is a bit wonky. They paint on smooth, nevertheless. I love Hottie and Fig very much at this point.'

'I used Fig, like I said, earlier this month, and I fell in love with that color. Pity enough I forget to picture Fig on my nails, but here are the colors on my swatch wheel.'

Purchases ~ Trekpleister 1+1 Free Sales : Catrice Ultimate Laquers The Next Level #64, #65, #66, #67 (Fall 2014)

'There was a nice sale at the Dutch Trekpleister past September: buy one nailpolish get one free. So I went a bit nuts with Catrice's newest regular Fall colors. Catrice Ultimate Laquers are 2,99 each. (Except for one, and that's Blue and A Half Men. I wasn't sure to pick that one up, cause I'm not wearing tons of blue. In the end I picked it after the sale).'
From left to right: #64 It's Time For Lovender, #65 Be My Violetine, #66 Blue And A Half Men, #67 Greyday! Greyday!

'Like I said earlier, the brushes could be better at some colors. But still, the colors in this post are gorgeous. Maybe not that special anymore, still they scream Fall to me. The only color from this post wich needed two coats is Blue And A Half Men. However, I don't regret to get Blue And A Half Men, but it's not the favorite one. All the other ones could be worn in one coat, and goes on very well.'
From left to right: #64 It's Time For Lovevender, #65 Be My Violetine, #66 Blue And A Half Men, #67 Greyday! Greyday!

'You can guess my favorites, I think. Defenately the purples and the black.'

Reviews ~ Finished Products September 2014

'Months... they goes by in a wink. It's allready that time. Let's see what I finished here.'

'First finished item, an Coconut Care Handcream. It was 0,79 at the Action, and at first I thought, this handcream should be purchased over and over again. But no. After this second tube, my nose tells me that the scent became funky to me. A little bit chemic. In other words, I don't like it anymore. So, I know what I need to do. Looking around for another handcream.
Next two bottles of Yves Rocher Les Plaisirs Nature Perfums. The first is in Coconut, wich is still available, and the other one is an discontinued scent in Apricot. They are 3,50 a piece, but I quit purchasing at Yves Rocher, cause the service in Holland really sucks. I mean, I loved most of their products, but they try to let you buy unnecessary things, or they send you the same "surprise" things, if there is such a deal like that to let you order. No, I'm not pleased with them lately.
The other two things. A Carmex Lipbalm in cherry. I forgot the price of that one, but I only know that I ordered from Ebay once. The other item is an mini eyepencil wich came in one of my Catrice Big City Life boxes. I know, the pencil isn't completely gone, but it does irritate my eyes, wich is mostly a sign of spoiling.'

'Then a few basic things. First my standard Cotton Rounds from the Action, 0,59 a pack. The other thing is also from the Action, discontinued, make up wipes I used for freshing up my feet in summer, only 0,19 a pack. The last thing on the pic, a Nailbuffer from the Big Bazar. Those buffers come in a pack of two, and are 1,49. The annoying thing: I can't find those Nailbuffers anymore. I only have one left, and as you can tell: I used this one to dead.'

'And that's it. I talk to you in my next post. Take care.'

Purchases ~ Trekpleister 1+1 Free Sales : Catrice Ultimate Laquers The Next Level #59 - #63 (Fall 2014)

'There was a nice sale at the Dutch Trekpleister: buy one nailpolish get one free. So I went a bit nuts with Catrice's newest regular Fall colors. Catrice Ultimate Laquers are 2,99 each, so I paid for this lot basicly 7,50. (The sixth color I will show you in another upcoming post, beware of that).'
Left to right: #59 First Glass Up-Grape, #60 Out Of The Dark, #61 Greige! The New Beige, #62 Must-Have STEELetto, #63 Mint The Gap

'Those Fall colors are gorgeous. You can get away with one coat of the most Catrice Ultimate Laquers, and it dries quik. Only bad thing: Catrice doesn't really well on their brushes at the moment, so I don't know what that all about. The brushes are a bit bended at some polishes, or looking rough. So keep that in mind. The polishes gave me mostly a smooth application, and most of my brushes are okay. But let's be honest, right?'
#59 First Glass Up-Grape, #60 Out Of The Dark, #61 Greige! The New Beige
#62 Must-Have STEELetto, #63 Mint The Gap

'Favorites of the bunch: First Glass Up-Grape, Must-Have Steeletto and Mint The Gap. Those are beautiful eyecatchers for the nails.'

Projects ~ On my nails : NYC Prey of Grey with Catrice LE Sand'Sation 100 Per Sand Real

'I had to try the Catrice LE Sand'Sation in 100 Per Sand Real, so I decided to make it the manicure of this week. The 100 Per Sand Real laquer isn't available anymore. I got this one with some luck, for only 2,50.'

'On my ringfinger 100 Per Sand Real as an accent. I like to use sand laquers as an accent, so I used NYC In A Minute in Prey Of Grey to make a nice combo.'

Purchases ~ Trekpleister Nailpolish 1+1 Free Sales : Catrice LE Luxury Laquers and Catrice Million Brilliance #03, #04, #07, #08

'There was a nice sale at the Dutch Trekpleister: buy one nailpolish get one free. So I went a bit nuts with Catrice's newest regular line: Luxury Laquers Million Brilliance. Along that, I bought also two discontinued Luxury Laquers, also one Million Brilliance in Glitz Carlton and one Sand'sation in 100 Per Sand Real. I bought these discontinued Limited Editions for only 2,50 each. The Million Brilliance Regular ones are normal 3,59, so I was done for 7,20, and got four polishes. Total of this: 12,20.'
Discontinued: Glitz Carlton, 100 Per Sand Real
Regular Million Brilliance: #03 Let's Get Lost In Vegas, #04 Lost 'N Roses, #07 Stars And Stories, #08 My Big Green Wedding

'For the swatches, I only used one coat here, but off course, those are buildable. I personally want to use the Million Brilliance ones as a glittery topcoat accent nail.'

Purchases ~ Perfect Touch Nailpolish #09 (Big Bazar, NL)

'We all know by now, that the Dutch Big Bazar has awesome things for less money. Recently, they came out with their own make up line, with the name Perfect Touch. Prizes are between 0,99 and 2,99, so far as I could see it. I bought, offcourse one of their nailpolishes for only 0,99.'

'First the application, wich is smooth and easy. You can get away with one layer, wich I did in the pics here. The brush is your common brush, it's thin but also a bit wide, but not too wide. I used, like I said one coat here, no topcoat. It stays on my nails for five (!) days with maybe a little bit wear on the tips, but barely noticed. No topcoat, like I said. And the other good part: It dries very, very quikly, no joking. I'm pretty surprised by the quality of this polish. A few small things, Perfect Touch don't have an too excited range of colors, and they work with numbers. So this polish is in number 09. However, they don't test on animals, wich is for a lot of us a big plus. I highly recommend you to try one of their colors, because for the price you can't leave it. Perfect Touch polishes are only 0,99 each, and you can buy them at the Big Bazar when you're in Holland.'
